Implementation

A focal point in a shaded courtyard belonging to a marvelous palazzo, located in one of the three cities of Malta, Birgu. The plant scheme was chosen based on the matter of the area to be less sunny. Choosing plants that are shade tolerant was imperative to bring this space to life. The volume of this courtyard is large with high walls, so the choice of mediterranean trees was limited as they would have a stunted growth due to the condition of limited space for roots and sunshine. Together with visual enjoyment, the proposal involves an auditory element, choosing a relaxing water feature along the edge of the planter.
